Dynamic’s Diary – August

August 2021

We’re more than halfway through the year already – can you believe it? For us here at Dynamic, there has been a lot happening in a short space of time. We spent the pandemic doing what we could to support our NHS Heroes. It’s a good thing we had years of experience already doing that! It was a time when kindness was needed more than ever, and our drivers delivered by going above and beyond to help hospital staff whenever possible. Staying late, making coffees, moving kit, and changing routes at the last minute – you name it, they did it. Of course, the team at Dynamic HQ were working just as hard to facilitate all of this and speak directly to our incredible customers. Only they weren’t at HQ – they were at home! With things slowly returning to normal and our team back in the office, we thought it would be a good time to check in and tell you what’s happening at Dynamic…

First of all, we have a trio of new team members! Tina – our new Warehouse Supervisor – will be working through the night to ensure operational efficiency and remove any risk from our supply chain. She will also be supporting our driving team with their daily routes and improving the way we return customers goods back to their head offices the day after collection. No pressure, Tina! Next, we have Stephen and Hasnain – both Service and Logistics Coordinators. They will be responsible for ensuring we build the most efficient routes for our driving team – ensuring all deadlines are met with ease and all our customer’s goods are delivered and returned on time, every time. They will also work on our ever-expanding sameday service; working with strategic partners across the country to ensure our customer’s last-minute, urgent requests are dealt with appropriately.

It’s a good thing that those three have come onboard, because we’re busier than ever collecting and delivering our customer’s precious cargo. In fact, not long ago we had our busiest trading week ever. The week after we broke the record again! Andrew, our Managing Director, summed it up well:

“We’re coming to the end of what has been our two busiest trading weeks in Dynamic’s history. To me, it’s signalling a return to some normality. The last 12 months or so have been some of the most strange and unsettling of a generation, and I just want to take a minute to credit our team – from office staff to drivers – for their incredible commitment during uncertain times. They’re the Dynamic DNA. Safe to say that when we’re allowed a night out, we’ll be having one!”

Andrew’s not the only one who wants to take the team on a night out, it seems. Recently we’ve been receiving some outstanding feedback from both customers and hospitals. Dynamic Driver Dave had praised heaped on him by the team at Spire Bushley Hospital. On our feedback form they gave five stars across the board and said that Dave was such a happy and friendly guy that he was always welcome for a mug of Yorkshire Tea. Being a Barnsley lad, we’re sure he won’t say no to the cuppa! It’s not unusual for us to get an excellent review, but the elation we get from them stays the same every time.
